Two cities, one Kilter Board, one Winner.

After a wild first edition, the Kilter Board Legend is back – more intense, more explosive, more strategic.  Team up with a friend, and throw down on the Kilter Board in the UK’s most exciting new climbing comp. We’re going head-to-head with Climbing District Paris – live.

Format:

  • 20 problems, 4’30 per problem

Schedule:

  • Qualifications take place all day in time slots between 11:30am and 4pm.   Select a time, warm up, and give it your all.
  • Top qualifiers compete in a live streamed final from 8pm.
  • Arc’teryx prizes are up for grabs for the strongest climbers…or the smartest tacticians.

Get Involved:

  • Open to climbers of all abilities – you just need to feel comfortable on the Kilter board and give it a go!
  • Entry costs just £5pp (plus standard entry fee) and includes a free drink.
  • Simply head to the registration link, select a time-slot and bag 2 spaces – one for yourself and one for your climbing partner – and we’ll see you on the 28th June!

🇬🇧 QUALIFYING

📆 General Format

  • Number of boulders: 20 problems
  • Wave duration: 1h30
  • Format: teams must complete the boulders in numerical order (from 1 to 20)

🎯 Attempt and Scoring Rules

  • Each team has one attempt per problem
  • If one climber tops the boulder, the other does not need to try
  • If neither climber tops, the team scores no points and moves on
  • Boulders are arranged in increasing difficulty

⏱ Time Management

  • Target pace: 4 minutes 30 seconds per problem
  • Easier boulders should be flashed, allowing more time for the harder ones
  • A speaker will guide the wave and help teams stay on track

✍️ Self-scoring

  • Teams will fill out their own scorecards honestly

⚠️ Climbing Rules

  • ✅ Start: both hands and feet must be placed on the designated start holds
  • 🏁 Top: the problem is considered topped when both hands match in control on the final hold

🏁 FINALS

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Two Separate Finals

  • One Women’s Final
  • One Men’s Final

➡️ The event will begin with the Women’s Final, followed by the Men’s Final

⏱ Format

  • Each team has 4 minutes per boulder
  • Climbers may alternate, but each individual attempt counts

Examples:

  • First climber flashes → 1 attempt
  • First fails, second fails, first succeeds → 3 attempts
